One of the EMPC Team’s many roles is to carry out collaborative procurement activities on behalf of its Member Trusts in order to deliver best value and security of supply through the Contracts awarded.
The EMPC draws upon professional knowledge and expertise from its team and members, including additional Quality Assurance support where appropriate, to ensure that all aspects and specific requirements are captured during the tendering process.
We collaborate nationally to help our Member Trusts achieve system efficiencies, reduce clinical risk, improve the quality of patient care, support sustainability and drive innovation. The EMPC provide its Member Trusts with strategic purchasing support, procurement expertise and the commercial skills required to enable optimisation of the awarded Contracts and ensure compliance with the latest Procurement Regulations.
Support is provided both upstream and downstream to National Tenders with dedicated resource to assist, lead and inform, enabling decisions to be made locally.
